About Poet Luigi
The Usual Journey
A product of the 80s: muscle-bound men of action movies & wrestling, Larry Bird highlights & the G.I. Joe way of life. Sports in the streets, pasta every day & blue-collared Italians everywhere. Catholic high school discovery of writing poetry, listening to The Doors & the idea of self-publishing. College gave me the muse of my life & the discovery of Jim Morrison’s poetry. Numerous master’s degrees brought debt but a library job kept the bills paid. Four sons were born & wife still gorgeous. Self-publishing became a reality, writing poetry stayed an obsession & a failed PhD comp exam led me here.
